Byfords Construction recently started using the Keestrack R5 using a new crushing and scalping process. When they first partnered with Equip2 They projected they would be producing 100k tonnes annually in product with the R5 impactor, with there financial year ending in June they have totalled just over 200k of crushed material using Keestrack Equipment!
Byfords approached us in early 2016 to look at upgrading their fixed plant and adding to their mobile fleet. Billy & Bert, their Quarry Optimiser’s, reviewed their current production, machine costs and problem points to bring them a practical solution to increase capability and reduce ongoing costs. The Equip2 team suggested a transition to a mobile impact crusher and scalping screen to meet these goals.
Since moving to the R5 they have decreased their transport and set-up costs, moving 1 mobile machine instead of potentially 3 mobile plants to produce the same quantity. In 2016 they projected they would produce 100,000 tonnes of material, but due to increased sales demand and high versatility of outputted crushed stone they produced double the amount they initially budgeted from the R5 impact crusher.
